Hearing and Balance Issues

Audiology is the study of hearing, balance and related disorders, and the rehabilitation of patients with these impairments. Our audiology team consists of licensed audiologists with doctorates in the field and an audiology assistants who are certified.
 

 

We strive to provide exceptional hearing health care from prevention to rehabilitation.

Diagnostic services include:

  • Comprehensive hearing evaluations for adult and pediatric patients
  • Interpretation of results resulting in diagnosis of type and degree of hearing loss
  • Counseling and recommendations for tinnitus (ringing in the ears)

Rehabilitative and preventative services include:

  • Consultations regarding difficulty hearing and recommended solutions
  • Hearing aid fitting and management
  • Hearing aid accessories to connect you to today’s latest technologies, including cell phone and televisions
  • Custom hearing protection including musician’s ear plugs and monitors
  • Custom swim plugs

Common issues we do evaluations for include:

  • Balance Disorders
  • Vertigo and Motion Sickness
  • Tinnitus – ringing in the ears
  • Hearing Loss
  • Hearing Aids
  • Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL)
  • Noise Induced Hearing Loss
  • Conductive Hearing Loss
  • Otosclerosis
  • Earaches
  • Swimmer’s Ear
  • Chronic Middle Ear Fluid
  • Ear Tubes
  • Perforated eardrum
  • Earwax

 

We then work with our physicians to determine what treatment option is best: medical, surgical, or audiological (including hearing aids).
